One course. Clear ways to book a place.

Publish a dated course intake, offer the whole block, and enable casual places where they fit. Eligible prepaid passes give returning students another way to reserve a class.

A lasting course identity can have independent scheduled intakes, each with its own dates, prices and enrolments. Blocks, casual bookings and pass reservations use the same class capacity and attendance records.

01

The whole block

A six-week beginner dance course can reserve a student’s place on every included Monday, 2 November to 7 December.

02

One casual class

Where casual admissions are enabled, a student can buy a place on one available date rather than the entire block.

03

An eligible class pass

A named student buys a pack of credits, then chooses an eligible class and reserves a place with a credit. Buying the pass alone reserves no places.

A place on the date they choose

For example, Harbour Movement could offer a six-week block at A$180, one casual class at A$24, and a separate ten-class pass at A$210. These are illustrative offering prices, not BusinessThing charges.

The whole block includes all its dates. A casual booking selects one class. A pass holder uses their private class pass link to choose an eligible available date; one credit reserves one place for the named student.

  • Course identity with independently dated intakes
  • Whole-block and enabled casual admissions
  • Pass purchase followed by a separate reservation
  • Shared capacity and attendance by class

A class pass

Book next

Buying a pass does not reserve a place. Each class is booked separately.

Keep booking and cancellation rules clear

Block enrolment closes at the first class start. Casual bookings close at the selected class start or an earlier configured cutoff. A pass must be active, have a credit available and cover the chosen class before its expiry.

For pass-funded places, cancellation before the applicable cutoff returns the credit; late cancellation and no-show consume it. Required attendee information and agreements still apply. Your team can see bookings and record attendance for each class.

A workshop is a different commitment

A one-off Saturday workshop can have its own booking page and admission, without being presented as a six-week block. Keep the date, duration and purchase choice clear for each format.

Scheduled online events can also be listed and booked. BusinessThing manages the offering and booking; video hosting, hosted lessons and learning-completion tracking are outside this offer.
